Sunnyview Expo Center • Oshkosh, WI
Overhang Show Ring of Barn B

This show is being put on in honor of a former 4-H Friends 4-H Club member Josh Perry that had Asperger’s syndrome; a disorder affecting someone’s ability to effectively socialize and communicate, and is a condition on the autism spectrum. Josh was a boy who had a heart of gold and found that showing dairy cattle at the county fair and spending time with animals made him the happiest kid ever. Josh passed away unexpectedly at the age of 16, Josh was an outstanding leader to so many youth around him and we are hoping to help carry on Josh’s legacy throughout this event.

If you’re interested in participating please contact . Youth Exhibitors who want to provide animals and be mentors should email us as well! Thank you!

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be a Fair Exhibitor? We’d love to give you an insider’s tour of the Fair!

Farmer for a Day youth mentorship program is July 31 – August 3 during the Winnebago County Fair in Oshkosh, WI. This agricultural mentorship program connects local youth to agriculture, STEAM, the county fair, and other hands-on activities to encourage continued personal growth and community involvement. Eligible youth should be 7-16 years old and have an interest in one of these areas of the County Fair:

Selected youth will be paired with a Winnebago County Fair expert to experience a personalized, 1-hour guided tour around the fairgrounds. During the tour, youth will learn more about livestock, plants, cultural arts, mechanical science, foods/nutrition, and more. Alongside the guided tour, each participant will receive a fair day pass, take-home “AG” bag, and certificate. Since 2021 the youth program has continued to grow, so space is limited; apply today!
